A 1943 Hackensack High School Graduate Martin G. Blechman’s name was listed on the Original Wall Unit in Hackensack High School as M. G. Blechman.  He was drafted right out of high school serving with the 102nd Infantry Division 407th Infantry Regiment 

Martin G. Blechman received a Bronze Star as a medic during his service. He continued his education in France after the War and then back home in the States later. He served on the staff of Hackensack University Medical center for 41 years, having served as head of the Diabetes Section.
